Synopsis of A Most Wanted Man

The film is adapted from the novel by John Le Carré, author of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. The story takes place in contemporary Hamburg, Germany. A mysterious man comes to the local Muslim community seeking help. The man was half Chechen and half Russian and suffered serious injuries. The purpose of his coming here is to recover his father's huge illegal gains. Everyone around him doubted his identity. Is he a victim, a thief, or worse, someone with monstrous purposes? Also involved in the incident was a British banker and a young female lawyer. At the same time, a seasoned German spy was also monitoring them at all times, trying to figure out what medicine the mysterious man was selling in his gourd.
