Synopsis of The Bridges of Madison County

Francesca Johnson (Meryl Streep) passed away, and the will she left behind asked her children to scatter their ashes on Roseman Bridge. The confused children looked through their mother's belongings and uncovered a touching relationship between their mothers during her lifetime. One day in the summer of 1965, housewife Francesca sent away her husband Richard (played by Jim Haynie) and children and did housework alone. Photographer Robert Kincaid (Clint Eastwood) came here by accident and asked her about the location of the Rossman Bridge. Her calm heart was disturbed, so she took him to the bridge. At the end of the day, he gave her a handful of wild flowers as a thank you and accepted her invitation to have dinner with her. After he left early the next morning, she reluctantly returned to Rossman Bridge and nailed a note to the bridge, inviting him to have dinner with him again. He accepted the invitation again. The two met at Rossman Bridge, and the flame of love burned in their hearts. He asked her to go away with him, but she couldn't give up her existing family and worldly happiness. He left sadly.
