Synopsis of The Rising Hawk

In 1241, the Mongol army led by Genghis Khan's sons marched westward, causing devastation wherever they went. When they arrived in the Carpathian Mountains, local hunters the Berkut brothers secretly entered the Mongolian camp and released the hostages. The angry Mongol generals decided to take revenge and destroyed the local Carpathian settlements. A traitor among the locals tells the Mongols about secret passages in the mountains, but a small group of mountain hunters led by the Berkut brothers have their own plans to stop the Mongolian attack. Based on the novella "Zakhar Berkut" by Ivan Franco
