Synopsis of 45 Years

Just as Kate was busy preparing for her 45th wedding anniversary, her husband Geoff suddenly received news that brought his thoughts back to the past. He died in an accident in the Swiss Alps 50 years ago. The girlfriend's body was found. Both Kate and Jeff were deeply shocked but unable to communicate their deep uneasiness. Jeff closes himself in a world of memories, while Kate struggles to suppress her jealousy and anxiety. She also needs to concentrate on preparing for the party, arranging music, menus and other such things. On the surface, everything seems to be business as usual, but the camera keenly captures the process of the originally harmonious coexistence gradually becoming unbalanced. Whether she was having breakfast with Jeff or walking alone around town, Kate felt more and more like a stranger. The couple in "45th Anniversary" are gripped by unexpected emotions and forced to face unfamiliar feelings. In the process, the good times they once had seem to be gone forever.
