Florence Foster Jenkins

Synopsis of Florence Foster Jenkins

Florence Foster Jenkins, an American soprano singer in the early 20th century, won the audience's popularity with her poor singing skills but excellent entertainment skills. Jenkins was very confident and compared himself with the famous sopranos Frieda Hempel and Luisa Tetrazzini at the time, and did not mind the bursts of ridicule from the audience during the performance. She is selective about where she performs, usually at the Ritz-Carlton Ballroom in New York City. The audience for the concert is also limited to loyal members and some invited guests, and even everyone who decides on their own tickets. At the age of 76, Jenkins requested a performance at Carnegie Hall. People were looking forward to the performance, so the tickets were sold out early. However, Florence Foster Jenkins died a month later.
