Synopsis of Racing with the Moon

The story takes place during World War II. Hopper (played by Sean Penn) and Nicky (played by Nicolas Cage) were good friends in their student days, and the friendship between the two was very solid. By chance, Hobo met Katie (Elizabeth McGovern) who worked in a movie theater, and Hobo fell in love with her deeply. In fact, Katie's mother worked in a wealthy local's house, and Katie lived there with her mother. Both Hobo and Nicky mistakenly thought that Katie's family was the owner of that villa. Nicky's girlfriend is pregnant. Nicky urgently needs $150 to help his girlfriend undergo an abortion, and Hob also needs a sum of money to buy a pair of shoes for Katie. The two planned to plan a scam, but failed in the end. In desperation, it was Katie who borrowed money from her employer to solve Nicky's urgent need.
