The Railway Man

Synopsis of The Railway Man

"The Railway Man" is adapted from Eric Lomax's autobiography of the same name. During World War II, British soldier Lomax was captured by the Japanese army and forced to work on the Burmese-Siam (formerly known as Thailand) railway. He suffered unimaginable physical and mental torture. He could not escape the shadow throughout his life. Thirty years later, Lomax learned that a Japanese soldier who had tortured him was still alive. He decided to meet this man, not for revenge, but to reconcile with the past.
