Synopsis of When a Man Loves a Woman

Michael (Andy Garcia) and Alice (Meg Ryan) have a spacious apartment and lovely children, and their lives should be full of happiness. But Alice's bad habit of drinking has become a hidden danger to her happiness. When she is drunk, she will beat her daughter violently. She understood what was wrong with her and tried to correct it, so she checked into a sanatorium that specialized in alcohol treatment. But when Michael saw his wife getting along well with other people in the nursing home, he suddenly felt a sense of loss. He seemed to feel that he was no longer important in Alice's heart. Alice finally stopped drinking, and her temperament changed dramatically and became much gentler than before. Alice still interacts with the friends she met in the nursing home, but this arouses Michael's dissatisfaction. In a rage, Michael left his and Elise's home. When the two met again, Alice warmly invited her to her home to attend her recovery report. On the day of the report meeting, Michael felt how much harm his actions had caused to Alice...
