Synopsis of Little Voice

In a house in a civilian area in northern England, there lives a taciturn, introverted and shy girl (Jane Horrocks). Since the death of her beloved father, she has become more silent, hiding in her room every day and listening to the records left by her father; in contrast, her mother Mary (Brenda Blethyn) is a rude and superficial woman. He was not used to his daughter's silence, so he gave her a nickname - Little Voice. But no one knows that a small voice has a magically good voice. She can realistically imitate the classic songs of Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Sally Bassett and other famous actors, and the resemblance is almost unreal. Of course, her stage was limited to a small room, and Mary had no idea the value of her daughter's voice. Mary's new boyfriend Reese, a down-and-out talent scout, overhears a small voice singing and is shocked. In order to get out of the predicament, he decided to seize this golden opportunity and push his small voice to the public stage...
