On Valentine's Day in 1900, Australia's Aprilia College for Girls, which followed the British education system, organized an outing to the seaside cliffs. After arriving at the destination, Miranda and the other four people left the team to climb the rock. They were discovered by Michael and his servant Elbert who were also outing under the cliff. Michael fell in love with Miranda at first sight and followed her up. That night, the principal received a report that four people, including McCraw and Miranda, were missing. The police immediately intervened in the investigation. The principal was nervous about the reputation of the college, but Sara was bored because she lost Miranda. Michael and Elbert recovered a female student in a rock climbing search, but Miranda was still missing.
