Synopsis of Jerichow
Thomas (Benno Fuehrmann) was a soldier who was fired for making a mistake. He returned to his hometown in disgrace. Thomas, who could not find a job, had nothing to do all day long and his life was very depressed. The death of his mother brought a turning point in Thomas' life. He inherited his mother's inheritance and moved into the house where his mother lived during her lifetime. By chance, Thomas met a Turkish immigrant named Ali (Hilmi Sözer), who ran a tavern business there and had many connections. Thomas found a job under him, and his life finally got on the right track, and they got to know each other. Ali's wife Laura (Nina Hoss) Thomas is smart and capable, and soon gained Ali's trust, but at the same time, the unfaithful love between Thomas and Laura gradually intensified.
