Synopsis of White Nights

A ballet dancer from the former Soviet Union got on a hijacked plane to the Soviet Union. After the plane landed, he was put under house arrest in an apartment where a black man and his Russian wife lived. A dancer from the Shuva Ballet, he just wants to escape... The film is a legendary story about a Russian dance artist. The male lead, the famous Russian ballerina Bashilikov's dance is breathtaking and heart-wrenching - it was a white night under the spotlight, the same without any daylight. The night is endless, without beginning or end, a kind of gray in the eyes of a mental patient, with only a spinning shadow running around the stage as the bright spot. Bashilikov has eyebrows and sunken eyes, naturally curly blond hair, a short but strong figure, a genius-like passion and skills, and an extraordinary ability to spin quickly, no matter where he is in the air, when he lands, without losing his balance…. In the film, you can not only see Bashilikov's heart-stirring performance, but also the beautiful face of Isabella Rossellini, the daughter of the famous movie star Ingrid Bergman.
