Synopsis of Outbreak

In 1967, in the Motaba Valley of Zaire in Africa, a sudden disease ravaged American mercenary barracks, and the death toll continued to rise. After the military doctor took infected blood samples and left, the entire military camp was destroyed by bombs, and the white-faced monkeys in the nearby woods screamed... Until the 1990s, a young American man captured a small white-faced monkey in Zaire, Africa, and brought it home for sale. A new disease spreads in the San Francisco town of Cedar Creek after a young man releases the monkey because he doesn't meet the buyer's requirements. Sam (Dustin Hoffman), a colonel at the American Institute of Infectious Diseases, receives the news and immediately starts research and treatment work with his wife (Rene Russo) and colleagues. Because the disease was so contagious, the government scrambled to mobilize the army to cordon off the town and kill anyone who tried to escape. At this time, a batch of confidential virus-infected serum was delivered, but Sam and a group of people found that this batch of serum could cure the disease in 1967, but had no effect on the mutated virus today. Soon, when Sam's wife was unfortunately infected and dying, the government also made a decision to prepare to drop bombs to destroy the entire...
