Synopsis of Apollo 13

On July 20, 1969, American Neil Armstrong successfully landed on the moon aboard Apollo 11, taking a step that was of great significance to mankind. At the same time, senior astronaut Jim Lovell (played by Tom Hanks) and his family and friends were paying close attention to this historic moment through TV. Jim once flew near the moon on Apollo 8, and he also hopes to realize his dream of landing on the moon in his lifetime. This moment came quickly. Just 3 months later, Jim was appointed as the commander of Apollo 13. He will join his partners Ferry Dehans (Bill Paxton) and Jack Schweizer. Special (Kevin Bacon) once again lifted off to the moon. They were full of hope, but they did not expect that there would be endless hardships waiting ahead... The film was adapted from real events and won more than 20 awards including the 1996 Academy Awards for Best Editing and Best Sound Effects.
