Synopsis of Midnight Express

This film is adapted from real events In 1970, Heath (played by Brad Davis), a young man from a middle-class family in Long Island, USA, came to Turkey for vacation with his girlfriend. Before leaving, Heath smuggled two kilograms of marijuana. Unexpectedly, it was exposed when he boarded the plane and he was arrested for possession of drugs. After Heath failed to escape on the way to prison, he was severely beaten by the prison officer. Fortunately, he quickly met two inmates: Jimmy (Randy Quaid) and Eric (Norbert Weisser), and began to become familiar with the conditions in Turkish prisons. A chaotic and absurd living environment like an open-air market. Despite his father's efforts, Heath still had to endure a four-year sentence. Four years later, when he was about to be released from prison, the United States and Turkey were at odds with each other. Hiss was accidentally commuted to a thirty-year sentence and became a victim of diplomacy. Eric was released from prison after serving his sentence. Heath's endurance was about to collapse, and he finally decided to join Jimmy's escape plan...
