Synopsis of Macbeth
General Macbeth (played by Orson Welles) follows King Duncan (played by Erskine Sanford) in the north and south, and is the latter's most trusted source. One day, Macbeth won another war and met three witches on his way back home. The witches predicted that Macbeth would soon become an official and become a noble, and he could even take the crown and inherit the throne. However, Macbeth's successor is not his child, but the son of his good friend General Banquo (Edgar Barrier). This prophecy casts a shadow on Macbeth's heart. Instigated by his wife Lady Macbeth (Jeanette Nolan), Macbeth kills Duncan and places the blame on the two guards. After that, he killed Banquo and Lady Macduff (Peggy Webber) one by one. In the process, Macbeth's hands were stained with blood, and his spirit was on the verge of collapse.
