Synopsis of Hamlet

The father of Prince Hamlet (Laurence Olivier) of Denmark died mysteriously in the garden one day. The king's brother Claudius ascended the throne and married the original princess, Hamlet's mother. His father's sudden death and his mother's remarriage made Hamlet depressed all day long. One day Hamlet’s friend Horatio told him that every night at midnight, a sad, angry and depressed ghost would appear on the high platform of the castle. Hamlet came to the high platform in the middle of the night and met his father's ghost. He learned from the ghost that his father was killed by the current king Claudius. The ghost asks Hamlet to take revenge on the murderer who usurped the throne and occupied the princess. Hamlet, burdened with the mission of revenge, decided to disguise himself by pretending to be crazy in order to spy on Claudius's every move. However, he was too hesitant to kill his uncle. When he was hesitant, a troupe came to the palace. He arranged a scene to dramatize the murder of the king. The reaction of the king and queen allowed him to confirm the palace conspiracy...
