Synopsis of Armadillo

plot This is a true documentary about the Iraq war, recording the story of a group of Danish soldiers who were sent to Iraq to serve in the army and fight the Taliban. "Amadero" tells the story of young soldiers during the war and how they lost their innocence as teenagers in Afghanistan. "Amadiro" was the name of one of the Danish soldiers who was sent to Helmand, Afghanistan, as a sentry. It was director Janus Metz-Petersen who followed these young soldiers on the front line for six months, entering their inner worlds and trying to find out what this meant for the war. Behind-the-scenes ·The documentary "Amadero" directed by Danish director Janus Metz-Petersen won the Jury Prize at the 63rd International Film Critics Week at the Cannes Film Festival. This film stood out from more than 2,000 films and finally won the Grand Prix. It also became the only documentary to win the Jury Prize during the International Film Critics Week at the Cannes Film Festival.
