Synopsis of All Good Things

The film is based on one of the most notorious murder mysteries in New York history. In 1973, Robert Durst (played by Ryan Gosling), the son of a New York real estate tycoon, married the beautiful poor student Kathleen McCormack (played by Kirsten Dunst). After they got married, they left the city and enjoyed a quiet time in the countryside. When they returned, Katie returned to school to continue her studies. Everything seemed happy, but in 1982, Kathleen suddenly disappeared and no trace could be found. In 2000, Durst's friend Susan Berman was found dead at home, and the disappearance case 20 years ago was resurrected. Durst was questioned in both cases, but was not prosecuted due to insufficient evidence. In 2001, Durst's neighbor Morris Black was killed and his body was decomposed. He was once again suspected and prosecuted, but was acquitted after being defended by a famous lawyer. It was not until Durst was tried again in 2004 that he was finally sentenced to five years in prison. The media gave him the title of "Millionaire Murderer".
