Synopsis of Higher Ground

When Corini (Vera Farmiga) was still young, she was full of curiosity about everything around her, encountered many growing confusions, and was exposed to religion. As a young adult, she quickly fell in love and got pregnant in a hurry. She entered marriage ignorantly and married a rock musician. She became a housewife and gave up her dream of writing and religious belief. Life after marriage was not as easy as Corini expected. She even had to take a baby who was waiting to be fed to go on tour with her husband and a group of music friends, and she often felt neglected and lost. During the tour, a car accident occurred, and the family of three survived the accident with great difficulty, which made Corinne become religious again. Everything seemed happy in the beginning, but after experiencing religious restrictions, her friend's brain cancer, and the budding affair, Corini's faith was always wavering... The film is adapted from the autobiographical novel "The Dark World" by Caroline Briggs.
