Stalingrad

Synopsis of Stalingrad

German director Joseph Weersmaier's excellent work describing the Battle of Stalingrad in World War II from a German perspective. The Battle of Stalingrad was an unprecedented defeat for Germany in World War II and a major turning point in the European battlefield. The Soviet Red Army used its own bodies to block German artillery shells and aircraft bombings. While describing the battle, the film attempts to explore how the fate of the two victims changed due to the war. In 1942, a few ordinary German soldiers were transferred from the warm seaside to the front line of Stalingrad with the troops. They were soon engulfed by the brutal flames of war. As winter approaches, the cold becomes more terrifying than the battle. In the ice and snow, what they were thinking about was not how to fight, but how to survive. Thousands of German soldiers died every day. The defeat of the German army was like a catastrophe. The soldiers died one by one. The last two people froze to death on the white ice while imagining the warmth of returning home.
