Synopsis of Heaven & Earth

Le Li (played by Hiep ThiLe) is a Vietnamese girl. Although her family is poor, her family still lives happily. But with the outbreak of the Vietnam War, her disaster would come. During the Vietnam War, Le Li was captured by government forces for supporting the Viet Cong guerrillas and experienced inhuman treatment. Her mother (played by Chen Chong) bribed people in the government to escape, but at this time she was also thought by the Viet Cong personnel that she had betrayed the guerrillas, and she was raped. Her mother had no choice but to take her to work in a rich man's house. She actually fell in love with the man and became pregnant with his child.
