Synopsis of The Damned United

The Derby County Football Club led by Brian Clough (Michael Sheen) is mixed in the second-tier league. His feud with the first-tier league's strong team Leeds United Football Club began in the 1968 FA Cup. In that game, Derby County lost to Leeds United. After the game, Brian criticized Leeds United's fierce and brutal playing style. Leeds United head coach Don Revie (Colm Meaney) confronts him tit for tat. Derby County later signed many good players and successfully rushed to the first league under Brian's leadership. They met Leeds United again and they still lost. But then Derby County won the league title. On the road to success, Peter Taylor (Timothy Spall) is Brian's best partner. As Don became the new coach of the England national team, Brian also accepted the invitation of Leeds United and became the new coach of Leeds United. Yet the Leeds players were hostile to him.
