Synopsis of Barry Lyndon

In Ireland, Raymond Barry (Ryan O'Neal) lived with his uncle's house with his mother since he was a child, and later fell in love with his cousin Nora. Nora's father wanted to marry her to an English general, John Quin. So Barry challenged Quin to a duel. During the duel, Barry shot Quin, mistakenly thinking that he had been killed, and fled his hometown in a hurry. He was robbed on the way and had no choice but to join the British army. It was only in the army that he learned that Quin was not dead. Barry escaped from the British army but joined the Prussian army. After the war, he became the confidant of the Prussian officer Potzdorf, and even asked him to spy on an Irish spy in Prussia. However, Barry cherished the friendship of this Irish knight.
