Synopsis of Rope

Bolandon (John Dall) and Philip (Farley Granger) are both talented students at Harvard. One day, the two gay men conspired to kill classmate David and hide the body in a big box middle. Perhaps just to show off, they made a surprising move. That is to use the box containing David's body as a dining table, and invite David's parents, fiancée, classmates and Professor Rupert (played by James Stewart) to the dinner. They lied that David was out and had a banquet with guests on David's "coffin." The timid Philip began to be restless from the beginning of the banquet, but Bolandon took his time and talked among the guests. However, the clever Professor Rupert gradually realized that something fishy was going on from Bolandon's conversation...
