Synopsis of In the Company of Men

Neil LaBute was originally an agent in the American theater industry. This film was his debut in the film industry. It was produced at an ultra-low cost of only fifteen thousand US dollars, but it received rave reviews. It was selected as the best film at the film festival and became the fourth most profitable film in the world that year. Two urban white-collar workers were unsatisfied at work and emotionally, so they decided to take revenge on the opposite sex during their six-week business trip to a small town in the Midwest. The method is to find a weak girl, pretend that both of them are pursuing her, and when she is intoxicated with the happiness of love, dump her and make her miserable. They selected a beautiful but hearing-impaired typist and started dating her...
