Synopsis of Daughter of the Nile
The girl Lin Xiaoyang (played by Yang Lin) loves to read comics and often imagines that she is the protagonist of Chieko Hosokawa's girl comic "Daughter of the Nile". She lives in prosperous Taipei, working as a clerk at KFC during the day and studying at night school at night. Xiaoyang lives with his family in a simple bungalow. His grandfather (played by Li Tianlu) is a funny old man. His father (played by Cui Fusheng) is a policeman in Chiayi and is on duty all year round. After her mother passed away, Xiaoyang took on the responsibilities of her mother, taking care of her elderly father and younger sister who was in school, and worried about her brother all day long. My brother (played by Gao Jie) opened a restaurant with his friends. He worked during the day and was a thief at night, but he was able to take care of his family.
