Synopsis of Lebanon

The film tells a true story. On the first day of the Lebanon War in June 1982, four young Israeli soldiers drove a tank alone and were asked to fight with a group of ground soldiers. The first task of the unit is to enter Lebanese civilian villages and eliminate terrorists who look like the Palestine Liberation Organization. Commander Jamili described the mission's operational mission as "quick and simple." However, as soldiers entered the village, the seemingly simple mission quickly became complicated and eventually turned into a nightmare of massacre. From the moment the mission was dispatched, they lost contact with other troops, and the four soldiers were led into a death trap. "Lebanon" represents the chaos and complexity of the Middle East. The film inevitably deals with political issues. But most importantly, the director hopes to use the movie to depict the awakening of four young people in their early twenties. They suddenly find themselves in the cruel reality of killing civilians, and killing becomes what they must do. None of them are heroes, and none of them want to be. Their survival instincts and human values are in fierce conflict. This is a horrifying human tragedy.
