Synopsis of Lone Star Tears

Jean Valjean (Liam Neeson) faced twenty years in prison for stealing bread. After being released by Sheriff Javert (Geoffrey Rush), his identity as a prisoner made him run into obstacles. Desperate Ran Valjean is taken in by a kind bishop (Peter Vaughan). Valjean stole the bishop's silverware and attempted to abscond. After being arrested, the bishop lied that the silverware was a gift from himself to Valjean.
