Synopsis of Murder on the Orient Express

In 1930, a shocking case of kidnapping and tearing took place in New York, and the mastermind Cassetti was at large with the ransom. Five years later, detective Hercule Polo (played by Albert Finney) crossed the Bosporus by boat and boarded the island under the arrangement of his friend Bianchi (played by Martin Balsam). Board the Orient Express to London. Early one morning, Polo was awakened by a cry from the private room No. 10 next door. Later, the train was forced to stop in Yugoslavia due to snowdrifts covering the tracks. Not long after Polo fell asleep again, he was awakened by the noise again. The noble lady Harriet Belinda Hubbard (played by Lauren Bacall) claims that the rich man Ratchett (Richard Widmark) in Room 10 has sneaked into her Room 11. After dawn, Ratchett's butler Bedos (played by John Gielgud) brought drinks, but could not knock on the door of Room 10. Conductor Pierre-Paul Michel (Jean-Pierre Cassel) opens the lock with a key, but the door chain is hung inside. Polo and Pierre worked together to open the door and found Ratchett bleeding to death from a spat.
