Synopsis of The Sting

Luke leads a fraud syndicate operating in Joliet, near Chicago. On this day, his subordinates paid him a large sum of money that he had just cheated. Soon, Luke was murdered. It turned out that the money was the gambling money just recovered by Lonnigan (Robert Shaw), the underworld leader in Chicago. It was this money that set Luke on fire. Hook (Robert Redford) is one of Luke's subordinates. Luke treats him like his own son. Before his death, he wanted to introduce him to his friend Gondorf (Paul Newman), a trickster in Chicago.
