Synopsis of The New World

The story takes place in the North American continent in the 17th century. Despite the harsh living environment and scarce resources, the Indians who have lived here for generations still enjoy a peaceful life that has lasted for hundreds of years. However, this life is about to come to an end with the arrival of three small ships from the Western civilized world. 103 British sailors came to this uncultivated virgin land, built their stronghold, and promoted their religion and culture here. . On the deck of the "Eternal Susan", a young man named Smith (Colin Farrell) is about to be executed for disobeying military orders. Captain Newport (Christopher Plummer) sees Because of Smith's shrewdness and ability, he was retained. A group of people stationed ashore and established James Town, but inadvertently violated the territory of Chief Powhatan (Q'Orianka Kilcher). Afterwards, Smith met the chief's daughter Pocahontas (played by Q'orianka Kilcher), and a legendary relationship developed between the two.
