Synopsis of The Postman Always Rings Twice

Mechanic Frank (Jack Nicholson) is penniless and is taken in by Nick, a Greek shopkeeper in a small town near Los Angeles. Nick's young wife Cora (Jessica Lange) arouses Frank's strong interest. Cora She was also tired of the drunken Greek guy. The two soon had a relationship while Nick was in town and decided to elope. However, Frank's gambling habit forced the plan to change. Cora wanted to kill the drunk Nick but only killed him. He was seriously injured. After Nick was discharged from the hospital, Cora and Frank tried again and finally succeeded. Because the insurance company was unwilling to pay for Nick's accidental death, it organized efforts to prove Cora and Frank's guilt. Fortunately, the lawyer cleverly used the severe conflicts between different insurance companies to acquit the two. Although Frank and Cora were against each other in prison, they still came together. After they took over the store, their lives were ordinary until one day a man came to threaten them...
