Synopsis of Mary Poppins

The story takes place in London in 1910. Mr. Banks (played by David Tomlinson) is a bank clerk, while Mrs. Banks (played by Glynis Johns) is obsessed with the feminist movement. Unable to take care of their children, Mike (Matthew Garber) and Jenny (Karen Dotrice), they had to hire a nanny to do it for them. However, what the couple didn't know was that the two quirky siblings were beyond what an ordinary nanny could handle. Understand! A beautiful girl named Mary (Julie Andrews) came to the Banks' house to apply for a nanny position. She left a deep impression on Mike and Jenny as soon as she appeared. It turns out that Mary is a fairy. Her arrival allows the two children to feel family and friendship again, and also makes Mr. and Mrs. Banks understand what they ultimately want in life.
