Synopsis of The End of Summer
The wife of the brewery owner Manbei (played by Nakamura Ganjiro) passed away and he has two daughters, Fumiko and Noriko (played by Tsukasa Yoko). His daughter-in-law Qiuzi (played by Setsuko Hara) has been a widow for a long time. Relatives of the father-in-law's family kindly help her, but Qiuzi didn't seem to be interested.
