Synopsis of Ju Dou

The uncle of Yang Tianqing (played by Li Baotian), Yang Jinshan (played by Li Wei), was a dyer with physical defects. After torturing his two wives to death, he spent a lot of money to buy a young and beautiful woman, Ju Dou (played by Li Wei). Gong Li (played by Gong Li), abused him in every possible way. Tian Qing, who was nearly forty years old but not yet married, fell in love with Ju Dou, who screamed in pain because of his uncle's abuse every night. The two had an affair and gave birth to a son. Jinshan was overjoyed and thought he had a baby, naming him Tianbai. But soon Jinshan suffered a stroke and became hemiplegic. Judou and Tianqing became even more unscrupulous. After learning the truth, Jinshan wanted to take revenge, but he accidentally fell into Ranchi and died. According to family rules, Tian Qing has to move out of the dyeing room, and Ju Dou and Tian Qing, who are forced to separate, can only communicate secretly. More than 10 years later, Tian Bai grew up, and the gossips from outsiders made him hate his biological father...
