Synopsis of The Red Baron

The background of the story is Germany during World War I. Manfred von Richthofen is a German pilot. He had a proud record of shooting down 80 enemy planes and was called the ace among aces. His nickname was the "Red Baron". This film is adapted from the life of this legendary figure. Manfred (Matthias Schweighöfer) comes from a noble family and has been dreaming of flying since he was a child. After becoming a German pilot, he won the respect of others with his superb skills and unique combat style, including the enemy pilots shot down by him. In a battle, Manfred shot down British ace pilot Brown. When Manfred confirmed the result, he discovered that Brown was only injured, so he revived him. In the process, he met a beautiful nurse (Lena Headey) and fell in love with her at first sight. In 1917, Manfred became Germany's first ace pilot and received the highest medal personally awarded by the emperor.
