Synopsis of child and eagle

The British boy Billy Cusper (played by David Bradley) lives in a broken working-class family. His father ran away from home. In addition to his mother and brother, Billy also has to work to supplement the family income. In school, Billy would cause trouble or skip class and read comic books, finding the happiness that his age deserves. One day he found an eagle's nest on the high wall of the farm, so he stole the falcon training materials from the bookstore and raised a little eagle named Case according to the book... The film won the 1971 BAFTA Film Awards for Best Director, Best Film Nomination, Best Supporting Actor, Best Newcomer, Best Screenplay, and the Crystal Ball Award at the 1970 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
