Synopsis of Rosetta

For people struggling in poverty, survival is the greatest meaning of life. 18-year-old Rosetta (played by Émilie Dequenne) is such an ill-fated woman. Her mother was a self-destructive alcoholic with no ability to make a living and indulged in sex with men from the lower classes. The burden of life fell entirely on Rosetta's shoulders. The mother and daughter live in a mobile car. Rosetta has not been able to find a regular job, but she has a stubborn desire to survive in her heart. In such a bad life situation, in order to get a job, she even did not hesitate to turn against her only friend. Just because friendship seems too fragile in the face of survival. Destiny did not favor this stubborn girl. She finally collapsed halfway through her life and chose to commit suicide. However, fate once again gave her ruthless ridicule.
