Synopsis of The Great Escape

During World War II, everyone in the German prisoner-of-war camps longed for freedom. American Hill (played by Steve McQueen) has been planning to escape from prison since the first day he entered a prisoner of war camp. Although more than a dozen of his attempts to escape failed, Hill never gave up. This time, Hill and British officer Roger planned to secretly dig a tunnel and lead 250 people to escape from prison. Everyone contributed their own efforts to cooperate with this plan. Some people were responsible for making civilian clothes that everyone would wear after escaping, some were responsible for making fake documents, and some were responsible for stocking food, etc. However, on the day their tunnel was completed, the tunnel was discovered by the Germans. As the date of the escape plan approached day by day, Hill and the others began a new round of excavation work.
