Synopsis of We Are the Night

On the international flight to Berlin, there were rivers of blood and corpses strewn everywhere. In this cruel hell stand three distinctive women, the calm and mysterious Louise (played by Nina Hoss), the graceful and elegant Charlotte (played by Jennifer Ulrich), and the innocent and straightforward Nora (played by Anna Fischer). Their true identities are vampires who travel around the world all day long, enjoying delicious blood and endless luxurious life. In a crazy nightclub, Louise, who is extremely obsessed with beautiful eyes, falls in love with the 18-year-old troubled girl Lina (played by Karoline Herfurth), so she sucks her blood without any explanation. Soon after, Lina, whose body had undergone tremendous changes, became one of Louise and the others. From then on, she rose to the top and enjoyed endless luxury cars, food and luxury goods. They have everything the world longs for, but they also have a loneliness far greater than that of humans... The film won the Special Jury Award at the 2010 Sitges-Catalonian International Film Festival.
