Synopsis of The Jazz Singer

The plot describes a Jewish rabbi's son who wants to be a Broadway star, singing and dancing. The move was strongly opposed by parents. They just wanted him to be the cantor in a Jewish ceremony. But the son who deeply loves jazz only wants to sing pop songs... Years later, after leaving his hometown and changing his name, he finally stepped onto the stage. In a nightclub in San Francisco, he realized his ideal and became a jazz singer. . The first talkie, it only had a few lines of dialogue, but it was enough to surprise the audience at that time. The film made vaudeville comedian Al Jolson famous and revolutionized the trajectory of the entire film industry. It has been remade several times, with the 1980 version starring Neil Damon and Laurence Olivier.
