Synopsis of K-PAX

A man wearing sunglasses (played by Kevin Spacey) who calls himself Plott suddenly appears at New York's Central Park Station. He claimed to come from the K-PAX star, a thousand light-years away from the earth near the constellation Lyra, and came to the earth at super-light speed for investigation. Plott was admitted to Manhattan Mental Hospital as a mental patient and was treated by Dr. Mark Powell (Jeff Bridges). Mark thinks Plott is a delusional patient, but he has doubts about Plott's strange behavior and incredible astronomical knowledge. At the same time, Plot's arrival caused a sensation among other patients in the hospital, and everyone hoped to be selected to follow Plot back to the K-PAX star. Dr. Mark tried his best to find out Plott's true identity, but he did not expect that he would be more and more convinced by Plott's theory in the process. What is Plot's true identity? The film was nominated for Best Actor (Kevin Spacey) by the American Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Film Association.
