Synopsis of The Greatest Game Ever Played

At the beginning of the 20th century, golf was only a game played by British nobles and gentlemen, and the people at the bottom were not qualified to get involved. It was undoubtedly a symbol of status and power. Young Francis Oumt (played by Matthew Knight) was born in a civilian family. After studying, he often worked as a caddy to supplement the family's income. In the process, his love for golf quietly took root in his heart. He is hardworking and talented, and gradually grows into an outstanding amateur player. In 1913, Francis was fortunate enough to participate in an Open where gentlemen gathered. Not only would he have the opportunity to face off against his idol Harry Watton (played by Stephen Dillane), but he would also become an important figure in rewriting the history of golf... The film is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Mark Frost, based on true stories in the golf world.
