Synopsis of Resurrecting the Champ

He is a down-and-out boxer. His glory days have long passed and he doesn’t want to mention them anymore. Now he is wandering the streets pushing a supermarket trolley without even a name. His companions gave him a nickname—— Chew repeatedly (Samuel L. Jackson). Eric (Josh Hartnett) is a less successful reporter. He has done nothing except being sent by his boss to cover some worthless sports news. A fight brought these two seemingly unrelated men together. Eric also discovered his amazing boxing talent when he rescued Repeat Chew from the fists of a young gangster. He recognized this dirty old man. He turned out to be the once-famous boxing genius, but amid numerous rumors, he had already died unexpectedly. A unique opportunity was at hand, and Eric knew it would be a major news story, and he would become famous in one fell swoop.
