Synopsis of Love Streams

The film describes several days in the life of a writer Harmon (played by John Cassavetes) and his sister Sarah (played by Gena Rowlands). Most of the plot in the movie takes place in Harmon's home, where they are struggling in life: Harmon leads an extremely decadent life, relying on alcohol, cigarettes, and short-term relationships with women: or A woman I met through work, or a woman I met in entertainment venues. He was also a very unfit father. He left his 12-year-old son in a hotel room and even taught him how to drink. And his sister Sarah is divorcing her husband because of her crazy words and deeds. Her daughter wants to live with her father, which hurts her so much that she almost has a mental breakdown. At the end of the movie, Sarah left Harmon's house to be with another man, and Harmon walked to the screen to say goodbye to the audience and his own life.
