Rabbit-Proof Fence

Synopsis of Rabbit-Proof Fence

The story takes place in the early 20th century. The Australian government decided to implement a cruel plan. They forcibly took the mixed-race children born from whites and local indigenous people away from their relatives and put them into the Moore River camp, where they were transformed into children through training and indoctrination. In order to obtain cheap labor, they even attempted to use arranged marriages to change their so-called "inferior bloodline". 14-year-old Molly (played by Everlyn Sampi) is one of these children. Unable to bear the painful life in the camp, she bravely decided to escape. Also escaping with Molly are Daisy (Tianna Sansbury) and Gracie (Laura Monaghan). The three girls will face a long journey of 1,500 miles and Mudu (played by Mu Du) who is chasing after them. David Gulpilil (played by David Gulpilil). Can the three children reach their destination smoothly? What kind of life will be waiting for them there?
