Synopsis of Requiem for a Dream

Harry (Jared Leto) and Marianne (Jennifer Connelly) love each other, dream of opening a clothing store, and dream of a better tomorrow. However, they are all inseparable from drugs and want to make their first pot of gold by selling drugs. Harry's mother is a complete TV fan. Her biggest dream is to be on TV, so she takes diet pills regardless of her age. Due to the drug content in the medicine, she gradually became addicted. Harry's friend Dillon (Marlon Wayans) is also an addict and joined the underworld in order to make a lot of money. They worked hard for their dreams, but step by step they fell into drugs and couldn't extricate themselves. Harry's arm was cut off due to an infection caused by injecting drugs; Marianne sold her body and self-esteem for drugs; Harry's mother was eventually admitted to a mental hospital and tortured; Dillon was imprisoned.
